Oaklea Road
The water side between the old ferry pier and the village hall is an untidy mess. Why don't they cut the grass more often with a decent mower. It is cut only once a year when the vegetation is far to long and the cut material is left lying there. If the grass was cut with the same mower that cuts the park etc some of us who live on Oakleigh Road would then be able to maintain the stretch in front of our properties.
Oakleigh Road itself is in a very poor state, it has many pot holes, there are large areas of standing water during rainfall and for a long time after, causing pedestrians to be soaked from the spray of passing vehicles which are themselves creating a hazard trying to dodge the pools of water and pot holes.
The side walk is also hazardous especially for the elderly it slopes very steeply in towards the road forcing pedestrians to walk on the road. It is noticeable that so far the resurfacing of the road, side walk and other projects in the village ceases at the old jetty.
